Foral de Montoito
RED
Foral de Montoito is a wine with a traditional Alentejo profile. It is produced with Trincadeira (30%), Aragonez (30%), Alicante Bouschet (30%) and Touriga Nacional (10%) grape varieties, harvested during the night in vineyards with red chalky soils.
The grapes are jointly fermented in conic steel vats with temperature control, and the wine ages 6 months in French oak barrels.
Like the remaining Casa de Sabicos wines, the label of Foral de Montoito is designed from an original watercolor by the producer, Graça Santana Ramalho. The tones allude to the red fruits that characterize the wine, while the light and abstract strokes of the watercolor highlight its youth.
The name Foral de Montoito is a tribute to the parish of Montoito, where the winery is located. Since October 25, 2017, it has held the charter of King Manuel I.
